A private American conglomerate called BlueGate, Inc., funded secretly by the pantheon of three-letter agencies, has prepared an invincible chess-playing supercomputer they call STEELCASTLE. It is slated to defeat G. Adelimov, the greatest Soviet chess player, in exhibition, with a cruel twist: American grandmaster S. Levinson will sit across from Adelimov, receiving all moves surreptitiously from STEELCASTLE. Upon Levinson's assured victory, the ruse will be revealed, showing that the computer performs indistinguishably well from one of the sport’s all-time talents.

BlueGate has employed FIST to ensure this landmark success through any necessary means of intervention. FIST has promised to offer its best and brightest.

In clear violation of that promise, they are sending you.

I ran this mission tonight and it was a blast! The chess match itself immediately got interrupted with complications from my players trying to get past the Reds into the service hallway. We hit the rest of the content and FIST did not get paid because the client was pissed. 10/10

Want to read a little on the Fischer-Spassky and Deep Blue–Kasparov matches before I run this.

it's not super important to the module, and the subterfuge aspect is broadly fictional, but i'm glad to inspire curiosity!
